Who is ERMWare Software?

ERMWare Software is Eric Mazurkiewicz and ERMWare.com is where I release my personal software projects to the public. So far, all of these software applications have been released as freeware (at no cost to you).  As of 12/18/2005, I now own the ERMWare.com domain name and have officially put my software under the ERMWare Software name.

Besides my ERMWare Software work, what do I do for a job. Well, I'm currently a Lead Software Design Engineer in Test at a major software company in Redmond, Washington (I'll leave it up to you to figure that out, it shouldn't be hard). While working here, I've worked on the following software programs (in order of release):
  • Visual Source Safe 6.0 - released July 98
  • Visual Studio 2002 (7.0) working on source code control integration with Visual Studio 2002 - released February 2002
  • Visual Studio 2003 (7.1) working on the editor and code navigation tools (class view/object browser) - released April 2003
  • Visual Studio 2005 (8.0) again working on the editor and code navigation tools (class view/object browser/call browser/code definition window, and code snippets) - released November 2005
  • Visual Studio 2008 (9.0) working on MSBuild (when you build your project within Visual Studio, it's building with MSBuild.  Focus though was on the command line building (what software builders use), the MSBuild Object Model, and creating customer loggers/tasks.

Febuary 2008, I move from the Visual Studio project to take a Lead SDET position on the test automation infrastructure team for the Connected Systems Division at my employer.  I've been at my employer full time since June 1999 and before that I was a contract employee from December 1997 until I became a full time employee.
